Simple solutions for temperature maintenance problems
RAC 2009 – Hall 17 – Stands H55 and J50
Such has been the rate of its research and development since the last RAC Show in 2007 that in 2009 Seymour Manufacturing will have two stands, J50 and H55, which are opposite each other. Stand J50 will promote examples from current ranges of successful products whilst H55 will be reserved for two new products, all of which offer significant environmental savings to customers.
SMI has been successfully supplying a wide range of industries with simple solutions to temperature maintenance problems for nearly 30 years. The company is one of the world’s leading thermal insulation product suppliers for protection of food, chemicals, agricultural and home delivery products, serving a variety of organizations with the highest standards.
Seymour’s Tempro® is a unique lightweight insulation that has exceptional thermal properties and being soft and pliable can be fabricated, in various thicknesses, into an extensive range of spatial shapes, containers and insulating covers.
The company’s latest, most successful product being displayed is Tempro Cold Stop®, the insulated strip curtain for cold stores and freezers. The traditional solution to gaining frequent trolley access to a cold room easily without having to slide a heavy door has always been to fit transparent plastic strip curtains. These are not good insulators and can cause a slip hazard.
Tempro Cold Stop® is an insulated door curtain for cold rooms which, due to its thermal efficiency reduces cold room energy consumption by allowing optimum settings on refrigeration plant to achieve the internal working temperature. It also eliminates the risk of slip hazards. Cold Stop has been adopted by several leading British supermarkets and food processing and manufacturing companies for cold store and freezer doors.
Also being shown is SMI’s latest modular racking system for food, non-food, catering and allied industries. Track Rack is constructed on-site using lightweight aluminium click-together frames and high-impact, washable, ventilated blue plastic shelves. These can incorporate a unique ‘Rear Guard’ shelf back stop which reduces waste by preventing stock from falling off the back of the shelf thus reducing stock loss and cost, cleaning time and generally improving hygiene.
Track Rack is hard wearing and modular and is delivered in flat pack form for easy assembly. It is simple to erect, extend or re-erect without tools, although a plastic mallet is an advantage. There
are two depths and six convenient lengths for assembly in any size of room. For right-angled runs there are corner fittings. Shelves may be fitted eleven high or at any single height to suit demand. If mobility is required braked and swivel wheels can be fitted to the bottom of the upright supports.
Other popular products in the SMI range that will be at RAC 2009 include the company’s versatile roll cage and trolley insulated covers and box liners for a variety of products and box systems.
SMI has a programme of continuous development in conjunction with its customers thus ensuring that both keep up to date with technological developments.
