Manners meats gets in first to adopt SMI track
Almost before Seymour Manufacturing’s new, no nonsense racking system Track Rack had been generally released to the market, leading meat processor R Manners & Sons, ordered a system and had it installed in its Ponteland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne meat processing plant. Manners is the first major company to adopt the SMI racking system.
Beware cheap imitators of Cold Stop that don't match SMI standards
Feedback from the marketplace has indicated to Seymour Manufacturing that there are counterfeit versions of its innovative Cold Stop Tempro insulated curtains for chilled store and freezer room doorways being advertised and installed. Although the claims are often without foundation or, like the product, frequently copied from removed originals, even the advertising has been shadowed and down loads of SMI’s web site have also been used.
SMI's Cold Stop door curtains now on Tesco's model standard
Following the successful application of Seymour Manufacturing’s Cold Stop insulated strip curtains to chill and freezer store doors in 600 Super and Extra format premises, Tesco has included Cold Stop on its Model Standard for all new store openings. This decision to accept Cold Stop will provide a continuing remarkable reduction in energy consumption for the retailer. It indicates the success of Tesco’s environmental teams’ efforts to reduce energy consumption throughout its business and substantially lower its carbon footprint.
Seymour MI appoints sole Irish distributor for Tempro® Products
Following a sole distributor agreement between Seymour Manufacturing International, Telford, Shropshire and The Cross Refrigeration Group Of Companies, SMI’s extremely successful Cold Stop freezer and cold room insulated door curtains will now be available throughout the Republic and Northern Ireland from a single source. As the market grows in Ireland, as no doubt it will in The Cross Group’s capable hands, other products from Seymour’s extensive Tempro® range of products will be added to the portfolio.
